People are being really dramatic. Honestly if some girl from class was sending me chit chatting texts I wouldn't respond. I'm 33 and very very rarely respond to texts. Just ask her out next time she sits next to you.

If you get denied, who cares if she sits next to you? Is she harassing you in class? Be an adult and conduct yourself like one. No need to play musical chairs and demonstrate you are a child.
