I think your view is a bit extreme. Genetics sets some upper and lower boundaries but what you do with your life makes a big difference for most. Autistic people also date and get married and can significantly improve their social and dating skills.

Let's say your social skills are a 2/10. You can probably get up to a 4/10 with effort over a few years. Is that worth it? For some, absolutely. It can be the difference from being single forever and getting into a relationship. But for some, it's not worth it and it makes no difference in their results.

There are no absolutes in the world of dating. No guaranteed rewards for effort. The UFC lightweight champion is so nearsighted he can barely see his opponent. Not exactly genetically gifted for fighting but he still the champ due to hard work. Another fighter became UFC champion with only seeing out of one eye.

Beware of the fixed mindset thinking someone's future is set in stone due to genetics. There are many who can surprise you with how much they can achieve despite the ods not being in their favor.

Hey man. I have a weird personality. Ive always struggled with social relationships but at the same time people would really like me when they got to know me. I would say I had a lot of potential to be really charismatic, but had poor emotional intelligence.

Lately ive been diving deep into social skills and game, and tried to change the way I behave around people. These three things helped me:

Experimenting in every single intenraction you have. Try new stuff, try saying hi to someone you havent talked to in a while, see how he reacts. Ask someone about his hobbies, see how he responds. Literally the world is your lab and this will help you understand what kind of your behaviours trigger certain attitudes on others.
The idea of emotional bids: basicly these are things that people do or say and you have to "grab" to make a connection with them. Example: someone says their leg hurts. On the grand scheme of things you probably dont give a shit, but that person said it for you to ask, which turns you into a person they can count on. The more emotional bids you catch, the more connections you will make with people.
When in doubt about doing something, do the opposite to what you would like to do. If youre like me and the moment you relax and think you got it all under control, you start going back to your old habits, just take the risk. For example: A guy ive had some talks with but im not super keen on asks me to go watch football or something. My brain would go: Why go with this guy watch football, id rather stay at home and not put myself through that. NO. This is the kind of bullshit that got you to this point, just do the hardest option, which is going there and making yourself vulnerable and learn. Imo 90% of times doing this, the results have been positive.

Im no guru, im struggling myself with game, but hearing my social circle refer to me as someome charismatic and awesome to be around makes me want to continue going harder.
