Ask your sister what the power dynamic was like in the relationship of the guy that grew on her. For me, persistence was relevant to the extent that rejection didn't bother me, but I never chased the same woman hoping that she'd change her mind. I'm sure there are relationships and even marriages where long game works out, but too often the dynamic that plays out is a woman finally green lighting a guy because she knows he'll have that dopey "just happy to be here look" on his face, will provide, and won't bounce or cheat. It's the same trope played to hell in shows like King of Queens and Everybody Loves Raymond. Doofus finally gets girl who loves him begrudgingly. I'd rather operate in "fuck yes" and "fuck no" territory. Clarity and genuine attraction > algae game.

Women seek mates for two reasons. The passing on of good genes or survival traits, and resource/emotional security & provision.

The dream of every woman is to hit the jackpot, meaning find a man that has both the physical prowess to pass on good genes, the mental fortitude to teach survival traits like strength and confidence, as well as the resources and promise that he won’t abandon her for someone else.

But in this day & age, it EXTREMELY rare to find both in one man. We’ve tamed society in the West to a point where women can now get their own provision & security, men no longer need to be strong & confident to literally survive, so most men are either strong, cocky assholes who wont commit to a woman for long (because being strong & confident attracts women deeply, even if a guy is an asshole) or weak losers who have the finances (often compensating for their weakness), but don’t satisfy other side of what women look for.

When a guy is “PERSISTENT” what he is often really appealing to, is a woman’s emotional security side of attraction. She likes that he’ll always be there, and depending on the phase of her life, will therefore concede to a relationship with that person.

But as with everything women do, it fluctuates. Because once a woman reaches a certain level of emotional security & gets bored of it, she will seek out the strong & confident guys who appeal to the other side of her attraction filter. Often persistent guys are the guys that get cheated on down the line.

Of course, sometimes being persistent can appeal to the strong & confident side of her attraction filter.

Perhaps she originally thought the guy was a loser but then translated his persistence as strength of character and confidence.

This tends to be the case with more hardy women who grew up rough, so they tend to have a tough exterior to weed out the weaker men & then pick the guy who’s tough enough to break down that barrier and make her feel soft and lady like again. My ex was like that. But this requires you to actually be strong & confident, don’t misconstrue your neediness for one woman as “yeah im just breaking down her barriers”, this is rare case.

So it safe to say, that if a woman doesn’t make things EASIER for you in the beginning, she will not truly desire you later on. So better to just walk off & find a woman who lets her walls down to you from the get go.

I could’ve given a shorter answer but you need to truly understand sexual dynamics & where they originate from to get how this applies.
