I am wondering because whenever I meet a girl and she laughs at my jokes and seems interested in what I say, it makes me think of me having a shot. But usually if I speak to someone and they don't show much excitement and have pretty mundane tones I tend to go "this isn't it" am I wrong for thinking this way?

There is this girl that I can't ask out because she is taken, but that isn't what I'm wondering. I see her laugh at my jokes and stuff a lot and seems engaged with me. If she was single, do you think I would be dumb to ask her out?

I meet some women that just laughs at a lot of what I say and seem engaged, but I never take the steps due to years of social anxiety, now I'm looking to change that.

Also for finding friends, do you think this is a good indicator too?
