I usually get soda water with lime to make it look like vodka soda. Just to avoid awkward conversations when people ask me why I don’t drink. I usually tell them I’m drinking vodka soda when they ask what I’m drinking

You don't need to drink to meet people.. where'd you come up with that nonsense?

Meetup.com, Facebook groups, go up to people on the street you think you'd get along with and have a conversation.. if they seem cool, swap numbers, and set up plans within the next 2-3 days.

Do that with 10 people, boom, 10 new friends.

If you have your own place..

Mass collect new friends, invite all 10-50 over and throw a barbecue or something.

It's really that simple.
