I find "the one" every time I'm at the grocery and a hottie walks by. You just got to stop calling it "the one", call it what it is, you wanna dick that shit. Don't put her away for months. Here's what you do, instead of focusing on this one bun-bun with the intensity of laserbeam, and obsessing, force yourself to be like sunshine. Shine on all the girls in the group pretty equally, including "your girl". Make them all feel your sexy warmth and coolness, as best you can do it. It doesn't matter that she's cold, your job is to be warm in a non-needy way. Not because you want her or anyone, more like because that's just your relaxed, warm nature. It's like nothing they try harms you whatsoever, you're always like "ha, that's cute" and smiling.

Asking this girl out will work best when you feel like she's been "bitten by the bug" and is curious about you like all the other girls are. This is where you can invite her to something fun you're already doing (with or without her) and think of it as a favour you're doing for HER, like a special treat, maybe in semi-secret from the other girls. That way she will be likely to not only go with you but love the entire idea, I don't care how "cold" she's said to be.
