I once heard a quote from Tim Ferris stating that he is not a fan of motivation and willpower due to the fact that they are temporary states of mind that come & go. Rather we should be focusing on systems of accountability and consequence to ensure we take action, even if we 'don't feel like it.' Humans are very vulnerable to their daily shifting moods, inconveniences, and external circumstances which often deter people from taking action.

Every single time I see a gorgeous woman I always find myself crushed by apathy, excuses, and nervousness. I desperately need a new strategy. Motivation & willpower by itself is no longer an acceptable option for me. I'm at the point where I know that a very deliberate and practical strategy is what I need in order to ensure that I take action.

One example of what I am talking about would be to pay for in-field coaching. Another option would be to take a friend with you so that you can hold each other accountable to take turns approaching. A third way would be to use money/physical resources as collateral to perform a certain goal (e.g., I give $100 to a trusted friend, he gives it back if I can prove I approached 5 women today.) If you think that sounds crazy, remember money is a VERY powerful motivator.

Are there any other strategies we can use to hold each other/ourselves accountable to MAKE that approach? Some people need a gym buddy or they will not exercise. Some people need an active sponsor/sobriety group or they will not get sober. I am not ashamed or embarrassed to admit that I can no longer rely solely on my own willpower to approach a beautiful woman. We all know how tough this is, and for many of us a new strategy is needed rather than simply more motivation.
