Do not text until you know she'll be able to see you again. When that time comes, text her "Hey, its been a while. Lets grab a drink on [day] to catch up".

You may find this odd but I made an innocuous "just checking in" text to a girl last week because I wasn't going to see her for a while. Can you see what I did wrong?

ME: "What song is that? http://instagram.com/p/xxxxxxx"

I knew the SECOND after I sent it. It's the fucking question mark. It's needy. It says, "Please? Answer? My question?" Lol

This would have been better:

ME: "What song is that http://instagram.com/p/xxxxxxx"

More dominant, less needy and result-dependent. Not saying it's hot stuff guaranteed to get her wet for me but far less beta.

TLDR: text her something interesting and really casual that implies, whatever, not sitting by my phone waiting, see you whenever. And NOT a question.
