Some of the Mystery Method can seem obvious, once you've read it. But most guys don't see it until it's explained well. Go use the skills you read about, you will probably be surprised at how they play out in the real world.

I think one of the best things you can learn from his book is DON'T DRINK and game which really isn't emphasized enough in the community

You just described every book since the dawn of time, even the bible.

This is a skill you learn in the field, talking to people. You just mention reading in your post. So go into the field, try some of the openers, write down what works and what doesn't, and consult the book to figure things out. Keep doing this process over and over, learning from the field and using the book as a guide to understand what is really going on.

"All truth is found in the field." You feel there is no power behind the words because you haven't gone out and applied it in field. It's exactly like if you read an entire book on exercise...and did nothing with it.

First... puaCurveBall is clearly retarded. Books give knowledge. If they didnt they wouldnt exist. So to Todayisjazzfest dont stop reading.

I would highly suggest reading Neil Strauss book The Game. You wont put it down. I have read both Mysterys book and Neils. Both are great, but The Game is able to give you this field experience because he is going out so much explaining his experiences. Once you read that you'll have a better understanding. Also, dont think your alone here. Keep doing more research then do more. After you've done alot of research do more. Females are alot of fun figure them out.

Mystery's view is skewed. His method is way too complicated. I prefer Mark Manson or 60 Years of Challenge.
