I think the problem with the standard take em to the movies-buy them flowers-wait a couple dates to have sex sort of courtship is that it isn't necessarily what people really want. By golly, if you like going out on the town and having a wild time and hook up with someone, wouldn't it make more sense that you'd be more happy with someone who also enjoyed that than a slower pace of life? That isn't to say there's no time to slow time or do more traditional romantic things, but I don't think it should be looked down upon.

There is nothing healthy or quality about the typical relationship wherein the girl routinely uses sex as a bargaining chip and a blackmail asset. Relationships that begin with sex tend not to have this dynamic, so they are more healthy and quality, in my view, regardless of their emotional content or lack thereof.

that's how most people i know begin dating. It almost always starts from a hookup at a party.
