Right?
Ya know why people are shunning you OP? Your hubris and condescension by not learning the language.
Edit:I'm guessing you're American. Thanks for contributing to the stereotype

Im not American, and the reasons why I do not feel encouraged to learn the language are: 1- people are generally not excited to get close with foreigners in Poland (even those who speak polish) as far as mine and my friends experiences 2- polish is hard, and as I do not intend to stay here for long (1 year to go) I find myself prioritizing other activities and areas of knowledge

Lol, just learn how to give out approach signals. I'm not a girl but this is generally what they do to show affection for a guy. Or you can just go on Tinder and swipe on guys that you find attractive. Use a translator app and tell them you don't speak the language. Etc.

Ask a guy you are interested in for advice or movie suggestions. Most guys you will be dealing with won’t be used to shit testing.... so you really need to ask yourself what kind of guy you REALLY want to attract and how you want to be treated. Be extremely honest with yourself. Men tend to try to cast a wide net so you are still going to have to do some pretty strong filtering but if you are confident and honest with yourself you’ll be able to take your pick of the litter.
A lot of what you’ll find in things like Cosmo are actually pretty valid. Also, don’t discount men’s dating books and PUA books. A lot of it can be pretty easily mirrored and applied as woman trying to attract a man.
In the early 2000s PUA was known as being pretty unisex... now it’s almost exclusively marketed towards men but people are people now more than ever. Lines and gender are blurred.
Be confident. Don’t be needy. Stay independent and don’t settle.

Here's a short story. 3+ years ago, I sat down on a subway and there was this girl sitting across from me. Her row of seats were empty.
I still remember her cuz she is the one I regret not talking to the most. It's not cuz she was the most beautiful but cuz she was giving me such a nice smile. Unmistakably right at me.
I knew she wanted me to go over there. First and only time I've got such a clear signal in daygame. Looking and smiling is the best way to "seduce" a guy to approach you.

Learn the local language, even if it's just a bit, I have dated foreigner girls and was always understandable with language but they trying speaking my language, I'm not spending anytime with someone that's not willing to do that.
Just my thoughts.

Go out with your girl friends to social events - it'll make things easier (even moreso if they speak the language). Learn to make powerful eye contact and learn how to flirt through touch. That'll get you pretty far.

where central europe? just hangout in bars
[–]sella0 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I do that regularly, however, the moment they realize i don't speak their language they get awkward. It's not like I didn't date any guys, but the conversation often turns out cheesey and rather boring and I'm guessing it goes back to language barrier.
I live in a small city where foreigners are welcome and even bullied at times (especially men of color).
