I'm 26 , and a virgin. Last September, i decided that I would start to try to actually get laid after outright rejecting a number of girls who wanted to sleep with me afte I got into the habit of just being social and having fun, never mind ignoring many others. I stopped smoking Weed, PMOing and started lifting and going to Uni more regular instead. I also made an effort to be more social, make small talk with people and the like. Before , I had fallen into sort of a rut after returning from abroad to my hometown, where I now don't have that many friends, mostly old ones from school who are much more settled.

I actually flirted with a few girls, got a few numbers, made out with one. But ever since the beginning of this semester I kinda fell off the Train - I met a fair number of cool people through Uni clubs and Partys, but never followed up with them. I also noted that while I've somewhat reduced my approach anxiety, I instead have started to become much, much more awkward around women to the point where I start to wierd out women I don't even want anything from.

Also, I've started to become depressed ever since my 26th Birthday, feeling utterly hopeless as my thirties are looming on the horizon now.

I just can't shake the feeling that if I don't bang my first as soon as possible, I'll never ever get in any way comfortable in my abilities and decent with women, to the point where I fear that I'll be one of those guys who end up being married to the first girl they sleep with.

It leads to me being entirely focused - and yes, desperate - about getting to that goddamn starting line like, yesterday by any means possible. I can't have fun anymore, with anything. I've started to neglect doing things that I like, instead obsessing over it.

Whenever I manage to actually let loos and chill now, I inevitably meet at least one clearly attracted girl - only that gets me nowhere, since whenever I start talking to her it gets unbearably akward and boring until one of us walks away. In the past, it often happened that I would just normally talk to a girl, have a good convo, and then proceed to not even do the slightest move when she was clearly attracted because I was so afraid of rejection. I hate the thought of missing an opportunity like that again, so now I'm always in my head trying to do the "right" stuff and show my interest as well as connect with her when talking to a girl, which leads to said awkwardness.

I just don't get it - guys like the first comment in this thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/seduction/comments/1mzf06/man_of_seddit_that_pretty_much_accomplished_what/) just effortlessly lay their first and enjoy the smooth sailing from there, while I lost even the basic ability to have a normal conversation with a girl. I went on my first date everyesterday, and it was so awkward the girl left after the first drink. It just makes me feel utterly hopeless. I can't even properly fail - all I do is awkwardly blather around before asking a girl out/for her number more as a token effort than an actual try since even the slightest chemistry is never going to happen that way ,even if it would be there otherwise.

What do I do?
