Don't ask permission. Don't conjure up some stupid game like "let me read your palm herp derp". Don't tell her you want to. Just do it.

I remember my first date, he said he wanted to walk me to a restaurant so he stepped in front of me and held out his hand. He had this comforting smile on his face that made me feel safe in a way. Basically, if you pick her up for a date or anything just walk in front of her and hold out you hand. Make sure you are smiling so she feels comfortable. Hope this helps! When he did this to me I felt very comfortable and took his hand and for you, make sure to keep eye contact!

In a moment of excitement, either feigned or far better, genuine - take her hand briefly, then let it go. Wait for her to take it up again. If she does, you're golden. If she doesn't, give it one more attempt. Still nothing? She's likely not into you.

I never had the chance of doing it, but I devised this plan: On a cold day, while her hands are in her jacket or whatever, ask "Are your hands cold?" Hopefully the answer is "Yes" (this step could be skipped, so you could lose the risk of her saying "No" and ruining it). After that, say "I know a really good way to keep your hands warm" (You probably see where this is going)

"May I see your hand?" She'll let out her hand, hopefully, and then you just grab it, continue walking and don't say a fucking word. She'll likely giggle and if she doesn't like it, she'll pull away. No harm done.

Unfortunately, only useful for cold days and if her hands are in her pocket, and god forbid if you're not walking. Not to be extraneous, but your post reminded me of it, and the girl I wanted to try it with, so thanks for sending down memory lane. :)
