I'm in college, doing my aerospace engineering degree. So, on the last day a fellow classmate (a girl, she'll come up later) and I decided we'd go drinking! We invited everyone (only 3-4 others showed up) and the professor! Who accepted!!!!

So we're drinking having fun, making jokes. We're sort of networking with this professor, and becoming fast buddies. Eventually, I see a set of two girls in front of me. I tell my buddy that I'll open and wing him in. He agrees. But when I motion to move in or do something, he stops me and says "I need more beer", "Not now", basically any excuse. The girls then leave...

Finally, getting frustrated by his stupidity and inassertiveness (also wondering how does he have 4 ex-gfs when me, a virgin noob hasn't even got a kiss...), I decide to open another set of two girls and that he should come in. And with that, I depart from my group, my professor watching this. I go open the set, and start talking. In less than one minute I get blown out.

From what I can recall from the conversation, (after I opened) I asked "Am I interrupting something", to which the alpha girl replies "yes, please leave!". I laugh and exit the set. This question was the downfall of the interaction. As I returned, the group just became a pack of wolves (minus the girl). "I wanted to see you crash and burn", "Man you failed so HARD", "Hahaha you should learn your place" and "No one likes the brown town underground". That last one HIT ME HARD! (I'm brown btw, and that was just downright RACIST). The professor said nothing. What really irks me is the fact that all these guys talk all this BS and yet they don't even try... I simply shrugged it all off and continued enjoying drinks and talking to everyone. I was the alpha despite having a professor there!

After the professor left and as the night was winding down, the only girl in the group told me I was the coolest person she's ever met! And that we should hang out wayyyyyyyyy more often. She was the only one to compliment me that night. And yes, I kinoed her :) But she has a boyfriend...

And such is the story of my first blown-out. out of the 100+ sets challenge and 10 sets where I've #closed, this one just came as a surprise. I'm not sure I feel entirely...

TL;DR Invited my class and professor to the bar and got blown out of a set in front of my them. Returned back to my group who proceeded to make some racist (albeit joking) comments. Not sure if I should feel on top of the world or move the fuck out of this damn city after my degree!
