So over the last year I've made a lot of changes, trying to be much more social, dress nicer, and I've started to try and pick up girls. But I've had absolutely zero success (not even lying). I know I'm bad at this, but I really can't be this bad, and I'm a decent looking guy.

I understand it's all a numbers game and since I've only made a dozen or so attempts, it's not unreasonable to see them all end in rejection. But some of these girls expressed real interest in the first conversation, or so I thought, and then don't pick up when I call them.

My most recent failure (and the reason for this vent) comes from a girl who told me in class that we'd exchange information next class (which was today, and was also the last class) in order to study together for the final. She didn't even show up! I think she was the only one in the class missing, seriously. And this isn't the first time I've had weird reactions from girls. I had a girl in one class cut off our conversations by walking the other direction whenever we walked together after class.

Anyway, I read a lot of success stories here on seddit from people who have only recently started making efforts in the game. To those of you who saw relatively quick success: consider yourselves lucky! I've put in a lot of work for no return.
