Its a good idea to approach a group of girls asking for directions just because you will get more comfortable with approaching but trying to smoothly transition a conversation into game after that opener shows a lack of confidence and is not a good idea.

And yes most girls would definitely be down to give you advice. Who doesn't like giving advice?

Good for building up confidence, bad for getting laid.

Good openers for getting laid are personalised to the girl and are a little playful.
