Yes. You don't need to be an eye catcher...you need to have solid game and confidence! I wouldn't even worry about suave...that means different things to different people.

We're the same height. Some women are just into taller guys and wouldn't consider dating us. It's a fact of life we have to deal with. Others would say, "No" to dating a shorter guy if asked, but sufficient game can overcome. This is very hard to do with online dating where they just click "next" without getting to know you. My current SO is about two inches taller than me but I actually prefer the cute type, my height or shorter. Have a personality that's 6'2". Definitely lift weights. This is a must for shorter guys. Martial arts will do a ton for your confidence and help you come off as "manly". Change what you can and people WILL notice.

There are some tricks: Wear boots or shoes with an inch or two of heel, not super-flat Converse. When the situation presents itself, sit on the taller chair. At some clubs you can sit on a raised area near the dance floor. If you have the hair for it, some guys can add an inch or two with the right haircut, if it looks good on you, like Robert Pattinson.

Edit: If they say something about your height, give her a sly look and say, "Oh, I measure up in more important ways."
