The guy in the audio clip wasn't bad. His enthusiasm is infectious...I almost wanted to go out on a date with him come the end of the tape, and I'm a straight dude! :)

The chick, Bertie, has no idea if the "weird" dudes were actually doing pick-up or not. They could've been anyone at that club.

And her talk about awkward observational stuff ("you're wearing a lot of rings")...I've said shit like that before too. But then I ask her about each one, or at least a few of them. Often there's an interesting personal story behind it...it came from a favorite grandmother, was bought on a fun foreign trip, whatever. So, that can be a boring convo or a good one, depending.

I fall back on observational shit a lot. It's easy, it's one of your relatively few options for an opener, and it beats interview questions (although I fall back on those occasionally too).

This is just so blatantly stupid and negative. First the author blames PUAs for "tricking" women into going out with them. Then when he sees someone get a woman's phone number, he basically calls her an idiot. Okay, dude.

This article has the same snarky tone that a lot of writers have when they talk about the PUA community. They have already judged the community to be a bunch of losers who want to learn how to trick a bunch of women into sleeping with them. I don't care if they snark on the community or not, but it clearly shows they haven't done their research. I find it especially amusing when a male author, as here, poo-poos PUAs, and I think to myself "you should just check it out a little more, man -- you could totally benefit like the rest of us."
