Another point about comedians: When they write jokes, they perform them at different clubs to different crowds. If a joke works great at 1 venue and not at another one, they will rework the joke until it's funny EVERYWHERE. Kind of like a routine, if you use them. If it doesn't work one night, re-work the routine and try again somewhere else until it works great.

This is true. I think some people massively underestimate how long it can take to sort out your inner game though. If you start out an introvert with loads of negative / limiting beliefs then you have a lot of work to do. Knowing something to be true on a logical level is not enough for inner game. You must instinctively believe it to be true. Takes time.
