There’s this guy who works at a local office supply store but I can only go in an office supply store so many times without making him think I’m creepy. Is it inappropriate to try and shoot my shot at his workplace?

Anyways, forget about dropping a hint. You need to put him in a position to react to you outside of his professionalism requirement. So after you greet him and small talk him for a second, your lines are these:

“So what’s up for the weekend? Oh okay. Yeah, I’ll probably be out with a few girlfriends. If we find something fun, I’ll shoot you a text - maybe you’ll meet up with us. Why don’t you write down your number?”

If you're a woman, then it's totally acceptable for you shoot your shot at his workplace. If you're a man...proceed with extreme caution.

Guy here. I would definitely ask him for some help finding something, and while walking over definitely give a compliment or two. Then when he's about to leave go for something like "Oh, I could use some help finding something else." And that's when you ask him for his number. Goodluck with whatever you end up doing!

Try to exchange eye contacts with him, men are not stupid and they notice a girl checking them out. And see if he is checking you out back. If he is ignoring you then your mission of giving him your number is almost impossible or he may just text you for the lolz...
