Yesterday, a random girl from the class I was headed to saw that I had my hands full and held the door for me (she was a just a little ways away as I approached the door to the building). Obviously, I said thank you for holding the door for me. It could have stopped there but then I noticed how cute she was. So I said something friendly along the lines of, "hey, you know your hair matches your shirt" she was a redhead :). She laughed and said 'thank you, and you're right'. Then she asked if I was in her class just to be certain she knew of me and I said yes of course and it led to a nice 30 second conversation as we walked up the stairs to class.

The last thing I said to her before class was "that guy up there has the same color shirt as you"

she replied, 'oh yeah? well maybe he and I should be friends?'

I replied in a joking way, "Maybe, I guess I'm not cool enough for you"

After class we talked again about our mutual interest in the show Breaking Bad for a couple minutes and then we parted our separate ways and I said "see you on Tuesday". And yes I will see her again on Tuesday.

TL;DR Cute redhead held the door for me and I initiated conversation just by complimenting her hair, it is that simple.
