I have been reading that women don't want to be the center of your life. They want to be the icing on your cake. At this stage in my life (23M), I don't really feel a sense of purpose. Hopefully I find it, but until then I'm just sort of going through life and seeing where it takes me. I'm not really passionate about subjects but I'm knowledgable and well-informed, so I'm a pretty good conversationalist. I'm wondering if all of this will prevent women from being attracted.

To explain more, I'm a little anxious, but not depressed. I am starting graduate school, make good money/have savings, go to the gym/swim 4x a week, pursue hobbies, read a lot, socialize with friends, etc. I definitely think about getting a girlfriend a lot, and I feel lonely without one. I think my existential/nihilistic view on life makes both friends and women a very significant source of my (limited) meaning. I have enough friends where I feel non-needy toward any one individual friend. But I don't have any women in my life.

Any advice? I don't think anything short of a religious awakening will change my worldview, so I guess I'm wondering how to deal with women 'in spite of' this world view. Not sure how to get past this.

tl;dr I am well-integrated into society, but existential. How do I get girls? :)
