How do I become less of a goofball?

It's just who you are.... the important thing to learn is how to play that angle. Of course, if this is all you have, then that will leave people wanting. You can, for example use your goofball qualities as a launching point to ask them something about themselves.

As others have mentioned, you don't actually have to kill this side of yourself. Being goofy is fine. Being able to make a woman laugh is absolutely vital to seduction, and if goofy is the way you make people laugh, I see no problem with that. Also, a big part of the kinds of push-pull I use in the early interaction is really physical and totally goofy. Shoving, light punches on the shoulder, lightly pulling hair, threatening to pick her nose, calling her childish names, shocking her with goofy threats, whatever.

That said, as with all types of funny, at some point you have to stop being the clown and move on to a more sexual attitude. You also have to be careful not to overdo it...it is "try-hard" to appear as though you need people to be laughing every minute that they're with you.

As with all things, you're going to have to practice. Try imposing on yourself some limits. One goofy thing per interaction, for example, and the rest of the time you keep the goofy jokes to yourself...you can ramp it back up once you've figured out where the line is.

Also, I think you'll probably find that you can be the really funny guy without actually being funny all the time. Being serious, then goofy, then serious, will lead to memorable funny moments. She'll think of you as funnier than if you came in goofy, said nothing but goofy stuff, and then left on a goofy joke. Surprise is a big part of humor and seduction, so learn to keep her guessing and you'll do well.

As for what to replace it with: normal conversation. Talk about what you did that week...something interesting, hopefully, and told in an interesting manner. Talk about something you're looking forward to doing, like a trip or a new hobby. Challenge her...find out if she's worth your time. When you talk about your new hobby or upcoming trip, challenge her about her hobbies or travels. If she doesn't have any, she's boring. Poke fun at her for it (she'll then probably reveal that she does have hobbies or cool travel stories, she was just being shy or trying to chase off the weaker willed betas by not being a willing participant...if you challenge her on it, she'll come around).

What's wrong with being a goofball? As long as you know when and where to be professional or mature...have fun! I goof around all the time, and women seem to love it. Again though, I know when to turn it off and be an adult.

Focus on and appreciate your strengths. Sure, you may be a bit of a goofball at times, but it is not the only thing you are, just an occasional weakness. Identify your strengths and build on them, so that you spend less time being a goofball, and eventually the goofballiness will shrink down to nothing for lack of practice. Also, being a goofball may at times be a strength, so don't discount it completely.
