I upload an attractive picture of myself onto OKCupid and an awful photo of myself speaking publicly. The photos tie and I the public speech one gets more attention from 18-22 year olds. Food for thought.

To me, it seems like the public speaking in is the clear winner for women. Now, think about the contexts: one is you, with a mic, addressing an unseen group of people. People will presume there's a large number, since it appears to be outside. The picture of a leader, really. You're addressing people and you're doing something that most people are terrified of AND you seem comfortable doing it.

Picture two: you're inside, on your way out and surprised. Presumably it's only you and the person holding the camera. You look good, sure, but I think context is typically more important in attraction. Context speaks more about your personality. Also, Fundamental Attribution Error and Actor Observer Bias

The public speaker picture is the better picture of you. Not just for context but overall. Your "attractive" picture looks vaguely androgynous.

I haven't been on OKC in a year (since I am no longer single), so this feature is new to me, but I think this is a case of being overly critical of your own photo and overthinking the entire thing. I think you look very similar in both photos. Maybe a little younger in the mic photo, (probably due to lighter hair), which may explain better results with 18-22 yos, but I'd give you 21-22, at most, in either photo.

I am actually surprised both photos only rated 60%, I'd expect higher on both, but it is probably your age, since most women prefer guys of the same age or older, so your audience is significantly smaller. There are only like 4 guys that are definitely significantly more attractive and one of them has all of his photos shopped to death.

(For full disclosure: female, 26, so I guess it is possible I've just fallen victim to your public speaking skills, like the rest of them).

Edit: Drink? Doubt it. I didn't even notice it at first, but it could be my ADD.
