It's a little more difficult if you don't live on campus. That's just because you meet far fewer people. It really just relies on knowing people.

Do you know anybody in your classes that parties? Just casually ask, "got any big plans for the weekend?" Or you can just straight-up ask if they know any parties - "I was going to go to a party this weeked but it fell through and now I have nothing to do this weekend. Do you know of anything?" Obviously don't sound weird or desperate.

If you don't know people who party, then go out and meet more people. I think that's all there is to it.

You'll just have to expand your social circle. Generally people don't want complete strangers showing up to their college parties, especially if it's a house party, so you'll just have to make friends... hopefully the type of friends who like to party. It's a bit harder but not impossible as a commuter student. I'd get involved in something social on campus.

When I was in college, pretty much every party I went to was from either a friend of mine or friends of friends (or friends of friends of friends). It wasn't too often I'd crash a complete stranger's party (that usually was only after I was out).

I wonder if anyone has tips for this in community college, it seems like most people already have establish social circles and kind of ignore trying to expand it. I could probably change that though.

Make friends. Seriously. Talk to people everywhere, in the student centre, library (not if they look busy), lectures/tutorials, etc. Don't just limit to girls either. Make some guy friends too. If you have enough friends one of them is bound to have something going on at any given time.
