In the real scenario, Bush ducked like a wuss and then stood there with a glassy look in his eyes like a deer in the headlights, while journalists sitting next to the guy tackled him. Even the Secret Service stood there looking, doing nothing.

This is a serious question worth examining. Bush followed the ultimate Alpha as President. They called Clinton "The Big Dog" and other Alpha names. Black people jokingly called him "The First Black President." Boomers called him the first boomer President. Women threw themselves at him, he was rumored to be fucking Sharon Stone. He was so popular, when the Republicans impeached him for lying about getting a blowjob from Monica Lewinski, his popularity went UP. Hey, what's the point of being the Leader of the Free World if you can't get a blowjob from an intern?

Now look at Bush. He had a long history of problems with his father, especially back in the days when he was an alcoholic and cokehead. There's a famous incident when Bush Sr. was a House Representative, W got drunk and threatened his father, "You wanna go mano-mano right here?" Jeb, the older brother had to intervene. AMOGed again.

Then when Bush got to be President, the first thing he started doing was looking for a pretext to attack Iraq. He said he'd finish what his father wasn't able to. He had an inferiority complex, the only way to resolve it was to outdo Daddy.

Then he got a briefing memo entitled "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US." He said to himself, "that's Clinton/Gore shit, I don't have to listen to their team anymore, they're on their way out." After the Bush v. Gore battle, he was so pissed off, he was determined to get rid of everything they ever did. He let the Big Dog shake his frame, he ignored their warning. And then look what happened.

After the 9/11 attack, Bush stood on the ruins and tried to be an Alpha. He grabbed a bullhorn and said, "The people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon!" You dumb shit, the people who knocked the buildings down were in a million pieces under the pile of rubble.

Then he used that as a pretext to attack the wrong enemy: Iraq. Finally he got the chance to outdo his father. But he totally screwed up. Bin Laden wanted Bush to attack the Muslim world. He thought it would start the downfall of the American Empire, if he could unite the Muslim world (and all their oil riches) against the US by provoking an attack. And Bush fell right into Bin Laden's trap. Bin Laden set the frame, he held up a hoop and tricked that idiot into jumping right through it.

A true Alpha would never get into a situation like you described in the OP. Did anyone ever throw something at Clinton? Conservatives started rumors that Hillary threw a lamp at Bill. She says it never happened. They were desperate to start a rumor that would take Bill down and make him look supplicative to his wife. But they couldn't get it to stick. Bill didn't even have to deny it, Hillary did that for him. That's why they call him The Big Dog.
