Need some advice on how to ask a customer of mine out

Don't ever give out your number to women. It looks desperate and you will get a near-zero response rate no matter what the situation is.

I would just close my next good interaction with her with something like "Hey we should talk more some time." (look for her reaction, should be something positive like "sure") "How can we do that?" and then she gives you her number.

That said, you have kind of a double whammy here. She may be taken, AND if she says no it may be awkward next time you see her, or worst case, if you she finds you creepy she could tell your manager. You also are in a lower-value situation as her server. Make sure you have a VERY good read on her.

If you want to do it in a way that has the lowest risk of leaving you feeling rejected, and will at least preserve the status quo, you should as ask her to do something with a group. I know it seems juvenile, but if you have some friends that are going to a concert, movie, picnic at the park, etc (esp if it's something that she's mentioned having an interest in) it makes it much easier for her to say yes. Worst case scenario, it also allows her the opportunity to say no without making the situation awkward (i.e. she doesn't have to stop flirting with you every weekend). and the best part is that you can probably try it a couple times, even just dropping it in your small-talk: "oh yeah, my friend Mike is playing a concert at . . . you should join us"

Once outside the workplace, and in a normal social setting, your positions will be more equal and that's when you should ask her out.

I mean, if u got game, u got game, and you don't have to worry about any of this stuff. . . but it's better to have the odds in your favor.

I also recommend this for the reason that, if you're genuinely interested in her, it would be nice to get to know her as a friend, at least a little bit. If she does have a man, just pull the "wait out" (a la Seinfeld), if she's worth anything, she's worth waiting or at least being her friend, besides she may have some even cuter friends ;)
