She turned to me & asked me to "hold on"... i didn't feel like waiting around for her so i let her know i'd come back if i saw her later in the night.

This was a good move, avoiding compliance.

I don't usually make moves on girls who tell me they have a BF, but in this case, if you're cool with it, you have the green light to make a standard move. Text her today and say "how was the rest of your night? come meet me out at [blah] tomorrow at 8!" Don't meet her out with friends unless you just want to be her friend.

When a girl tells me that she has a boyfriend, I always consider that a signal that she is interested in me. I know that it sounds counterintuitive.

If she were talking to a homeless person, she would not throw that in; right? It's like if you get her to your apartment and she says, "We aren't going to have sex!" It means that the possibility is on the table.
