I was at a christmas market with a friend this evening. he is not into pickup and does not know that is started to study. we have not seen each other in two months, so we were talking quite a bit, and not there to pick up. but i thought it might be a good opportunity to open a couple of sets. you know, get a grip on that AA and stuff.

the first one i opened was while getting some hot wine. i noticed the bar had hot wine on tab, and told the HB7 next to me how awesome it would be to have that installed in ones kitchen. she says something, and i proceed to tell her about that place i used to live in with two other students, where we had a tab and a cooling system installed in the kitchen, really great for parties, to just order a 50l barrel of beer. she was a bit younger (early 20s) and thus impressed by that. i eject when i got my hot wine and return to my friend.

we get to talking and in a moment of silence i decide to open the girl behind me. i used an opinion opener that i came up with on the way there. (the daughter of a friend, she is twelve, is coming on to me. how do i shoot her down without hurting her? [BTW true story! she is about as tall as i am (6ft) and was fairly agressive about it]) the bad thing was, that the girl was way too old; i have not really seen her before, i just went for it. but she seemed to be happy to talk to someone else beside her friends. not a good sign, so for all those reasons i eject.

last one i opened when i returned my cup. due to my flat soles and the snow on the ground i slipped but caught myself. a girl saw that and i told her that i have no "profil". that can have several meanings in german: one is flat soles under your shoes, the other one means a side view that lacks character. i go with cocky funny and tell her that it is not the latter, because loock at my nose, how highly impressive it is. she told me it is, and how impressed she was by me not falling when i slipped. that followed some light banter, then returned to friends.

i am fairly new to PU, and have just recently learned that there is no reason for AA. in events like this, i do not feel a lot of AA, though i mostly open sets where i see a situational opener. i will go out again in two days and try to open more sets and get some DHV strories in, see how long i can stay.

what does seddit think about the opinion opener? i tried it today for the first time (like i said) and it worked. i can deliver it, since it is real, and it is like a five minute (plus) routine.
