It doesn't really matter what you say as long as you say it right - with confidence and assertiveness. If you do it right and get the conversation started, she'll have forgotten whatever opener you used (no matter how cheesy) after five minutes.

Check out David Wygant for a better idea/explanation. He definitely knows what he's talking about when it comes to opening.

Something that you have to understand is that it's going to be very difficult to pull a pick up during this point in time. People are usually going somewhere because they NEED to be there. Not because they are just leisurely walking around campus.

If anything, try to talk to the ones that are walking in the same direction you are. Ok, now that you know your main targets here, you need to know what to say to them, and the answer is...anything. Just talk to them.

"Hey do you know where blah di blah is?" Make sure blah di blah is on the way to where she's walking. Starting at the start of the block is your best bet. Problem with this is you have maybe 15 seconds to go from opener to number close (depending on various factors). Put in a time constrate and a QUICK dhv story. You don't even have to finish it. If you don't get the number close that's fine, if it's a small campus you might run into each other again or if you want that number go for it.
