Should you tell a girl you are interested in that you went on a date with someone else if they've asked what you did that night?

Even with the girls I date who know I'm seeing other people, I never say "I was on a date", I say "I was out with a friend". Part of it also is that I don't go on "dates", I just hang out with friends, some of whom are female and have access to my junk.

I think keeping it vague is better. If you tell her "I was on a date" she is going to wonder why you are telling her. What are the possible motives for revealing information like that?

The first thing that comes to my mind is, bragging. Your actual internal reasons for it will be transparent "make me feel better about being a "player"". If you were a player you wouldn't need to feel better about it. You should never come across as bragging about anything. It is demonstration of value, not telling how valuable you are.

Keeping it vague it could also make her curious, which is a huge plus.

and simply don't tell her, no matter what. She will go insane with curiosity, which is what you want, you want her curious about you.

Don't make it a big deal. I agree with AngryAcronym; talk about how your friend took you to a restaurant where "she" knew the owner, or you saw [x] movie with your friend [girl name] and it was awesome.

Let her wonder if it was a date or not.

With most of my harem we've established a "don't ask, don't tell policy". If it's some one new I wouldn't let them know anything. "I went out with a friend"

Is she your girlfriend? If not, what's stopping you? Unless you're really interested in a girl with jealousy issues before you're even dating...
