4 years ago I met a woman out who lives in a different state. She has family in my state, so a couple times a year she visits her family, and hits me up on FB to tell me when she's coming, and we get lunch or dinner etc. Then she goes back, we occasionally FB chat and lightly flirt, but nothing major. One Christmas I met her whole family and she got me a gift, which I thought was very thoughtful, a little weird since we aren't a couple but i figured she was just a really nice person. She jokes about my age, but doesn't really flirt beyond that. Just light touching and a kiss on the cheek occasionally.

The whole thing is an odd setup, but she's nice and who couldn't use more nice people in their life.

She is visiting next week and tells me she's coming. Cool! We decide on dinner. Then a few days later she says, "I have to let you know Ive reconnected with my first love, so my visit will be pretty crazy. Who knows if this will even work out, but I'd like to try. I'd still like to see if you if you are willing. Perhaps coffee?"

The reason I am unsure about this text is because - i feel you'd only send this to someone who you see in a romantic way? Which I never felt she did until reading this. (Like I said, I just assumed she was just a really nice person/naturally flirty).

So does she dig me or did she get the feeling I was digging her more and is trying to nip that in the bud? And if its the latter, why not just say "hey, you're fun but we're just friends"

I'm not even sure I'm going to reply to her message tbh, or does that seem immature?
