Right, so last night was the first time I was out after discovering Seddit and conveniently the night after I had finished my first exams at university so it was shaping up to be quite a big night.

Now, to cut a long story short, I didn't get close to even trying much of this stuff out but I did talk to a lot of guys and made quite a few new friends. It was quite liberating to come out of my shell a bit and made connections with a lot of friends of friends of my mates off my course and I was very chatty. I guess that could be contrived as a form of 'talk to everyone?'

Unfortunately, because I am studying Engineering there is barely any girls who went out with us that night, although I did have a chat with one of them which went fairly well which was a bit of a confidence boost although I didn't do any kino or anything like that and I guess i felt a little intimidated with loads of guys probably all jumping over themselves over this one girl.

In another club I really regret not going over to talk to these two girls dancing on their own in some space near the bar as my mind just went blank and I couldn't think of anything to open with and then before I could think of anything, they left which I guess my delay is an amateur mistake. The Problem is I find it difficult to try to talk to anyone in a loud studenty club because if someone is shouting in my ear and I can't hear them even after they repeat themselves I feel like I have to just nod and smile and pretend I heard them which really kills the conversation.

Near the end we as a small group of guys talked to a group of women on a hen party which was nice and I guess another little confidence boost but nothing in the order of pickup mind.

To sum up: Talked to lots of guys but lots of AA still and lack of confidence in the ability to speak to anyone in a club or a loud bar.

Any tips or comments?
