Dude I almost never remember girls names. Like ever. If your game is tight, it really does not matter. It is rare that she will ever straight up ask you what her name is. If she does, it is the perfect opportunity to DHV. Girl: "hey do you remember my name." You: " ummmm Karen? I don't really remember." Girl: "uhh omg!" You: "Yeah I'm just not good with names."

Shows you don't really care too much about her and that you probably have lots of women in your life.

Alternatively, you: "hey whats your name again?" and shell probably just straight up tell you. If not, see above.

When you ask for her number ask her for her name. When she gets offended and says "Ashley, ugh!" say, "No, sweetheart, your last name." Boom, first and last done, like a boss.

Would you stress this much if you forgot a friend's buddy's name after meeting him for just a few minutes? It's no big deal! Chit chat again, and then ask her again.

I'm not good with names, and it's never been an issue for me. It's usually better to forget the name anyway- then when you ask again (and don't be apologetic about it) she might tease you or get mad, and then you can tease her back. It works like a charm every time.

Whereas if you remember her name, that tells her you were thinking about her- which can be flattering, or it can be a bit weird.

Better to just forget the name and then turn it into a tease. She might act mad but it's usually not a big deal- and you're showing that you're a guy who doesn't have time to remember random people's names, and in a way you're showing her that you might not be too interested. It's a one-two punch.

make up nicknames. a name that you invented yourself is a lot harder to forget. in some tofutofu FR he kept calling a girl Larry all night.

A fun nickname also creates an awesome "we"-experience. nobody else calls her like you do. (maybe that won't work with Larry though.)

This used to happen to me a lot, and still does every now and then. I've always been terrible with names. I'll remember a persons face for the rest of my life if I met them for even a second, but their name is literally gone from my memory as soon as they tell it to me.

I've read that if you repeat somebody's name three times you'll remember it. I've made it a habit to repeat the name back to the person immediately after they tell me. "Hi [hot piece of ass's name], I'm Delightful_White. Nice to meet you."

Sometimes if I forget, I'll simply say "Sorry, I'm terrible with names. What was your name again?" Usually they'll have no problem repeating it and I swear 99% of the time they'll say "oh, I'm terrible with names too." This is actually good because sometimes they'll forget your name too. I'll even take it a step further and literally repeat their name back to them 3 times and say "Now I'll never forget it"

I use this with clients at work as well. Not only is it embarrassing to forget somebody's name, but it's unprofessional. I write names down when I'm working with them. Try texting names to yourself when you meet girls (don't make it obvious).

I used to suck at names, but now I play a game with myself where I try to get people to give me their names. For some reason, when I view it as a challenge it makes them easier to remember.

I've been meeting a lot of women lately and often I run into them again. I rarely remember names. The trick is to ask again immediately. You see her again and after the social "hi, hows it going" you say matter of fact "I can't recall your name". I usually smile and touch their arm when I do it and I have never had a problem. I say it like I would say "I can't find my keys" - not quite apologetic, more like "can you believe how dumb I am".

If I meet a girl a couple of times and I know I will meet her again I play a mind game I learned. I use word association - say her name is Karen ... I'll think to myself "I met Karen when the music was blarin'" It sounds stupid and actually the more stupid the association the more likely it will stick in my brain. Rhymes work best for me ... but any way you can associate their name with some other idea is good. It just gives you a new way to search for their names in your head.

If you're in a social situation you can try introducing an acquaintance of yours to her so she'll say her name out loud. My mom used this trick with me all the time since she is terrible with names.

Mom: This is my son.

Me: Hi, I'm pedxing.

Nameless: Nice to meet you pedxing, I'm "so-and-so".

Get her number, then ask how to spell her name. If she digs any deeper into this question just tell her "There's like five different ways to spell girls names."

If she says something like "Well, it's Kim." Then just BS and say you met a girl named Kim who's spelled with a Y instead of an I etc.
