Long story short, a girl I haven't spoken too in 6+ months randomly messaged me today. Now this girl and I did date before briefly. But her text was kind of a business related thing and had zero to do with meeting up etc.

We started to play a little bit of catch up. She was replying to my messages within two minutes. Being in an aggressive pursuit mode, I threw out "So whats the deal, you single yet or what :) "

No reply. What did I do? Fucking nothing. I went about my day and accomplished by business. It was indeed completely out of nowhere so I knew that nothing was a possible response. In the meanwhile, I texted another girl about meeting up later this night or possibly this week.

I went to work out. After I was done, I looked at my phone....got a reply....

.....six hours later....

"Sure am, don't really get out much lately etc"

Me: "Good. Then we're doing drinks. Not tonight because I'm busy but soon."

Her: "Sounds good, etc"

There was a real chance I had blown myself out with this girl over text. Who cares? I didn't freak out about it or start aggressively texting her make sure I didn't offend her by finding out if she was available. Sometimes, it's just patience.
