No, don't say let's just be friends. That's too much effort. Do not ever establish your relationship with a woman like that. Let her wonder.

Instead, cut her off. Don't ever call her. If she texts you, slow text her like a boss. Then bring another female into the mix on the very next work night out. This is what female wingmen are made for.

If this girl likes you, she will most definitely pursue you hard after seeing you with competition.

Two things:

First is that by saying she is "the hottest girl I've ever kissed" it seems like you are building her up too much to effectively pick her up. Remember that she is just another girl. If you want to put more effort into picking her up it's because she is very attractive, not the hottest girl you've ever kissed. The latter entails too much of a connection to her specifically. The subtle difference is key.

The other thing is that after she had turned down your date and come back with a date of her own, you should have taken control of the date and made it on your terms. Change something about the date (or bolder, propose a completely new date) and make her accept, not you. You seem to have jumped to fast on her date after she had been ambiguous toward yours. You gave her all the power which is never a good move.

Correcting this will work better than tactical friendzoning. If you go out of your way to push her away you will. Just re-establish her attraction for you that is obviously there.

My opinion on the whole situation, the girl is playing hard to get, she ran the game first, so be conscious of her game, let her make her moves, even fall for them, but be conscious constantly that she is playing a game with you. dont make anything you do obvious and in the end, or middle, you will get her. right now however it is too late for you to start playing your game, and if shes worth it to you to sit through her crap, you will get it in the end, so do it.
