I hit it off with a beautiful, amazing girl in my lecture the other day. I almost bitched out and didn't open her. Once I ignored the "voice" in my head that told me it was a bad idea, I sat beside her and started talking, I knew what I was capable of. The game I ran on her was near perfect. I know it was practically perfect because it just came naturally, but analyzing it after the fact, every component was there. I made her laugh, showed leadership, kino, framed it (acting like we were married and I was going to divorce her), proper light negging (not the jackass kind), etc. Most importantly I just started talking to her like I knew her for ages, I SKYROCKETED rapport within a few minutes.
All the IOI's were there, she kept smiling, giggling (even at lame jokes), touching her hair, keeping eye contact, asking me questions about myself to extend the conversation, got her information, BOOM.
So WHAT IF? What if I did bitch out and never opened her? What if I did what was "socially normal" and didn't sit beside a stranger and talk to them? What if my fear of rejection convinced me that it would be safer to not even try?
TL;DR / moral of the story: Opening is the majority of the battle, once you can FORCE YOURSELF to overcome it you'll be blown away by what you were/could have been missing out on.
