Was tired of making excuses so I decided to head to a bar I knew across town, by myself for the first time. Played a game of pool with some guy, and in the middle of it, some HB7 walked over to me and grabbed my arm, standing very close and looking away for a few seconds.
Laughing at her weird approach, I joke, "You on a dare or somethin?" And she looks at me and she says that she wants to play. She grabs my pool cue but I hold it fast. I ask her her name and she says, "HB7".
"Well can you write 'HB7' on the board, HB7?" Her breath is notably unpleasant. She looks at me through those thick, red glasses and says, "When I want something, I demand it," and she grabs my cue again. I tell her, "You keep right on demanding." She makes a weak attempt to pull the cue away from me.
"This is my cue," I said. And she says, "You're dumb for not letting me play, you're sad but true."
"The Metallica song?" I asked. She continued, "So that's the way you want to do it? Sad but true, sad but true."
"And what are you?" I asked. She didn't say anything. I said, "I bet you think those glasses make you look pretty smart, huh?
"Yeah," she says. I lean in and tell her, "I think intelligence is rather sexy." She's obviously damp as she continues, "Sad but true, sad but true," and she walks back to her table.
I think she needs another drink lol. I finished my game and head back home before the trains stop running. Walking back to the station, I can't help but grin as I run the encounter over in my head.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
