How to build comfort?

generally in my mind is to lay off the escalation and some more beta moves, try being sweet and cute while still building attraction.

I believe simple normal conversation is comfort building. If she asks you about your work or family, reassure her and answer honestly, but don't be boring. My problem is I build comfort before attraction. I am AFC.
