What fears did you have and how did you conquer them? Tell me your story!

I used to have horrible, horrible anxiety when talking to anyone, let alone beautiful women. In fact, it was so bad back in highschool, that more often than not I would come to school drunk, because it allowed me to relax and actually talk to people. How did I overcome it? Years and years of pushing the boundaries of my comfort zone. Getting involved in this community helped me a lot, and because of my efforts, these days I'm the kind of guy who can just naturally make conversation with people on the street, on the bus, in the bookstore, etc.

Not to say that I'm done growing. I still have difficulty with direct game, and sometimes I get hit with approach anxiety when I see a really, really gorgeous woman, or I'll flinch in the middle of a conversation with a girl and lose all my nerve. Still, I have faith that some day I'll reach the point where this won't phase me either. None of this happened overnight. It's a daily grind, ever so slowly training yourself to stop caring, and to find enjoyment in the things that used to terrify you.

I was never really naturally confident, some minor changes in my posture completely changed the way people interacted with me. Especially because I'm pretty tall. Now days I'm fearless, i ride a motorbike, skydive and pickup. What more is there?
