I respectfully half disagree. If you wing it and go out and don't really have a solid routine then yes. The numbers what you are talking about is going to be very important. For example, you open 20 sets 10 blow you off immediately 5 show some interest 3 number close, 1.9 k-close and .1 f-close.

However, what I have found works for me and maybe this is just me. Is canning your routine. What I mean is having your opener or several already down by memory. Literally verbatim, the reason being is so as your mouth is saying this your brain can be thinking. Obviously you tweak it for each set but its still the same words. Not only that but hitting your set with multiple openers if necessary. Then moving on to the second phase of your sarge once the approach is done. Again this should be down by memory whether it's cold reading, magic trick, palm reading, whatever.

What I found is that doing the sarge this way makes way more sets interested. Obviously its horrible if you're looking for a LTR, or anything remotely serious. However, for a relatively quick F-close it works awesomely.

Opening is extremely important of course.

But I wouldn't say FULLY random. Certain models increase your chances for certain outcomes.

It was already said somewhere else.

Red light - girls no chance with (bf, not into your look, whatever)

Yellow light - girls neutral

Green light - girls already into you (DTF, fetish)

Whatever model you use, you're trying to increase your chances with the "yellow light" girls.

If you only approach and don't know how to do the other steps (with game or being a natural), you're only hoping on the green light girls.

Of course it's still a numbers game.

I don't say a ratio between red-yellow-green because it'll continuously change as you get more and more approaches.

Funny, it's kind of a feminine perspective - to find your "match". The more I play the game, the more I tend to agree with the fairer gender on this.

I guess a lot of what is discussed on seddit just broadens whom youd be compatible wit, thereby improving your success rate.

You could focus purely on numbers, neglect self improvement, and do fine (id guess this is Paul Janka and Aaron Sleazys approach)

On the othet end of the spectrum, there may be some people who have broad compatibility and don't need lots of numbers. Not sure if I've seen this as I find quality girls to be relatively rare so chances of also finding a compatibility match along with favorable logistics - eg not in relationship, live in same place, etc - is compoundedly more scarce. Then again some folks on seddit claim to have consistent success with few approaches, so maybe they do exist.

The more typical strategy would be to focus on broadening your compatibility while running the numbers game. I view it as a spectrum. Ones individual style is a mixture.

Assuming all of this is true enough, the next important question is what method is the best to achieve the goals specific to whatever you're improving.

If you just want girls in your life, can make the time commitment, and are willing to man up through a firehose stream of rejections, jankas approach may be best.

If you want to improve your success rate while becoming a more social, enlightened, and well-put-together person and aren't super driven by results now, you'd want to focus on the self improvement stuff.

Really, it's two variables in an equation and tweaking either will yield results. And thr "right" strategy is highly personal

Totally disagree, I think 2-3% of pickup is the approach.

There are plenty of guys that can approach like gods that never get laid.

Of course it is a required step, but so are a lot of things.
