Well, it does not seem like she is a manipulative type girl, so you have points there. Honestly, sometimes some people cannot even make friends. I have one girl who I was pursuing hardcore a while ago, and now not at all.

Truly, I do not think you are over this thing. Once you get over it, you stop giving a fuck. And it is awesome; it allows you to be a good friend and gain access to their social circle - both of which I have done (2 k-closes on friends of hers). I think you critical issue here is a lack of abundance. You should not care to a great degree how she affects you because there are so many other attractive friends on you already.

You can still care for her as a friend. I have been there and moved past it. Enjoy her company, date other women right in front of her, and enjoy life. Women everywhere want you because fuck yeah you are awesome. And maybe, to a tiny degree, your friend respects that you have no issues in the women department. If not, it is ok. Also, I have offered to help my friend find the right guy. She is very high-value and picky like myself, so it works out well.

We all have failed to seduce a certain girl. Maybe one that was incredible. That is how we learn, and by God, it is a travesty if you do not use such learned skills for the betterment of your present life. Give value to everyone you meet, even if it is not exactly how you planned. It will be reciprocated unto you after some time.

I used to be in a similar situation to you, although it was worse in that I was not over her and I felt the thought of her held me back from meeting other girls. I tried putting some distance between us but, like you, she got really upset. However, over time I began to realise she pretty much was using me, wanting to keep me in her circle because 1) I would do anything to her, 2) as a substitute, someone to complain to about her guy problems and all I got in return was a faint hope that one day she would change her mind and start seeing me as a potential lover. In the end I decided to cut it off, didn't contact her for weeks and she called me asking if I still wanted to be friends with her and "when will you be okay with me dating other men?" to which I answered "Why? So you can know when you can start talking to me about your guy problems again?". She hung up and we never spoke again. I've never been happier. Now I feel I can go out and meet other women without having this one woman who I couldn't get as a shadow hanging over me. It did feel like shit at first, but it wasn't an honest friendship to start off with anyway. I acted nice to her because I wanted something more in return, and she only kept the friendship with me because she knew I would do anything for her but I was never going to get what I wanted.

Now I don't know the exact nature of your relationship with her, with my case it was pretty bad (one of my friends call her "the manipulative bitch", and my mom once wrote me a 2 page letter saying I shouldn't pursue this woman because I'll never be happy with her constant ups and downs and only turning to me when she has problems). I suppose you'll have to ask yourself whether you're really over her (Your feeling down would suggest you aren't). If you are then she will be great to have as your wingwoman and a friend to talk to, to get a woman's point of view on things. If you're not then it's probably better to suffer the short term pain of losing a possibly dishonest friendship for the long term pleasure of meeting heaps of other women who can be just as, if not more, interesting than her.

Ask her out on a date. either: a) get rejected, ruin the friensdhip, you don't have to feel emasculated anymore b) she responds, you end up dating her, you don't have to feel emasculated anymmore
