From your writing it sounds like you're super ancy around her. You don't need to force heavy kino to happen, and holding hands is usually not the place to start in my opinion. A good place to start is by placing your hand on her the lower back. It does the job of getting them warmed up to you and it doesn't seem as needy as going straight for holding hands.

On a nature trail you could stop and say "hey look it's a bear!" (or whatever animal) and motion to her to check it out. When she leans in to look put your hand on her back.

Moving to hold hands with a girl who you haven't built up enough attraction with is going to be awkward, but like you said, even if it is awkward you should act like it isn't.

My main advice is to calm down and be more patient with your kino. Jumping the gun won't get you anywhere.

For the most part, well done sir. The most glaring part of the whole thing was you buying lunch. Some will disagree, but I never buy drinks or food until at least day2, preferably day3 unless she is a VERY good prospect.

I agree, things are only awkward if you allow them to be. Fuck that, I make everything fun. It sounds like your conversation went just fine, and the kino actually sounds more responsive than you thought it was. The only issue I have other wise is hand holding.

I am semi-new here as well, but I do not even do that with the oneitis I currently have with many F closes. It is so deeply engrained in the relationship paradigm of western society. Her actions were good enough to probably go for the K close, especially if you give so few fucks about this as it seems to be a good training session. Hand holding doe snot fit anywhere in my game though. Arms to start, lower back shortly after, hips on dancing, and whatever you feel like after that.
