If you have 0 chances left, you'll have an equal amount of opportunities when you compare it to how many chances you'll have if you don't try at all.

There's a chance that one of them will say yes, however. What you're doing right now is using that chance to protect your ego. You're squandering a chance to grow by staying in your comfort zone because you assume that "Well, maybe I could get her..." is better than "Yeah, I fucked that up, I can't get her."

You want to keep that reality of maybe alive because you're afraid of how cripplingly depressing it would be to be rejected every time. In reality, though, between the experience you gain from being rejected and the relief of knowing the outcome, you'd prefer to have struck out every time instead of never going up to bat.

Maybe you should just go for it. Also, I'm totally projecting because I've been in your shoes.

Yup, it's called being beta. you have to believe in yourself that your an interesting person and when you go up to approach the girl will be able to notice that confidence. and there are no such things as no opportunities. there are always opportunities. I like to call it: AA blindness. when you feel the urge to game but there aren't and "opportunities" but in reality your nervous to see the opportunities and make approaches. go take risks and make approaches!!!
