Like most criticisms of this subreddit, yours is invalid because you miss the point about what the goal of subscribers here is supposed to be. I can't respond to your criticisms because they are aimed at a version of seddit that simply doesn't exist; I believe the term is "straw man" argument. I suggest you take a few days, read the most insightful posts and comments, and only offer criticism once you fully understand what you're criticizing. I think there are certainly aspects of this sub to be criticized, but they just aren't what you're asserting.

If the information on here was well known, then this subbreddit wouldn't have many people in it. You say anyone with 'adequate social intelligence' should already know this but the really not everybody does. This isn't a subbreddit for people that have everything together romantically with their live lives, it's for the people who have tried and failed with whatever girls they were interested in and are fed up enough to seek help. Saying 'be confident' is way too general to be helpful to anyone, and if you say this as a simple answer to anyone that comes to you for help, I assure you they wont ask you for advice on the matter ever again. My best description of r/seduction is a self-help subbreddit. You're right though, most of this is really basic social psychology, but the PUA community (at least the reddit pua community) is all about compiling all the relevant info in psychology related to dating and putting them into one place so that the 'AFC's ' can easily find help and share experiences.

I like how a reddit post brings up the dunning-kruger effect, and everyone needs to incorporate it into their "philosophical view".

You talk about the average person already having the ability to succeed socially, but it really isn't the case. The average person may be able to socialize, but most likely not effectively. A large portion of this sub are below average and are socially unaware. What this sub does? It creates a positive environment to address a person's insecurities, and provides guidance to resolve the insecurities.

Unless you're already a god among women, why not try the material yourself? Then you will find out. Unless you are a natural at this, in which case you might not understand that others haven't been as lucky when it comes to learning social skills.
