I once told my friend to let me see his wallet. He was suspicious but did it. I then took his cash and told him he wouldn't get it back unless he talked to that girl. I have never seen him open anyone so fast.

Talk to them about it at a time when you're not out or even getting ready to go out. Tell them about some of your funny success stories at the bar, and tell them you'd like to do this together sometime. I'm trying to get on of my best friends to see the light, but you can't change anyone that doesn't want to change. Another one of my friends saw me gaming one night, and flat out asked me to help him, and you can't say no to such a humble request from a friend.

I'm normally that dead weight. The only thing that I can advise is to try and create scenarios where they aren't under so much pressure. If you are going to clubs, stop doing that. Go to bars, later at night. If you are going to crowded, loud places, stop. Go to more quiet places with some room to breathe.

Treat them like deer. Don't spook them and they might actually come out.

I LOVE quiet friends.

I walk over to girls and tell them that it's the friends' birthday and that the girls should go kiss their cheek, pull down their pants, spill water on them, or some other funny shit.

If you come out with me you ARE getting pulled into some nonsense, one way or another. You can be part of the fun and come willingly or I can do it for you.

Normally for me I am never the that deadwiehgt guy in a group I always contribute to the conversation. That being said, I have been the guy who sat there and done nothing. Dont get mad at your friends they are just shy. Bring it up to them that they should engage. Give them tips. Ohhh and lead by example (sounds like you tried this). Also I feel as if it really helps if you utterly fail or get rejected in front of them because your freinds may fear that if they get rejected you will judge them. Make it known that you dont give two fucks if they get rejected but your glasd they try along with you
