Reading Seddit has screwed me. I act a fool all the time now. Here is an example.

So I've just finished at a bar, and I'm walking down the stairs towards the exit along with a bunch of my friends and I say to my three friends, "That girl wearing the cub scout uniform? Hotter with the lights turned on."

A tired and tipsy bro says, "Yeah! Unexpected. That means she was really hot!"

"We are all fools and cowards for not making a move."

"This might be true, but..." my bro had some funny excuse here.

Then we get outside, I'm unlocking my bike and there she is, waiting for a cab. And I've already said I'm a coward, so -- "Hey! Cute girl." She knew I was talking to her. "We were all taking about you just a second ago and are in agreement, the cub scout uniform was a good call. Well done tonight."

She closes the distance and says, "Yeah I stole it!"

"Clothes are meant to be shared," I tell her.

"I just went into his closet, and I said yoink! Hey! That's a nice top hat, do you want to trade with me? I have a pork pie. Mine for yours?"

She comes over and I hand her my own hat. It's a little big for her, and her's is a little small on me, but passable. I tell her, "Well it seems like a good idea now, but what if I decide I want my hat back later? I think I'll need some assurance that I can get mine back in time. Just in case I turn out to be an indian giver, you'll have to give me your number." (Not PC not cool. I know. Indians are very giving. As well as Native Americans. But I got flustered and said it and don't want to lie to you.)

She responds with, "I swear to god! this isn't a lie!" I roll my eyes but she persists, "I just moved here and don't know my phone number yet and don't have my phone with me."

I say, "Well, you know your email so you're going to put that into my phone right now."

A big dude who was apparently with her calls from a cab he's hailed, "You giving that guy your number!"

"No! My email! Wait up!"

She punches her email into my phone and hands it back to me. "There. Thanks for the hat, bye!" I haven't emailed her.

Two hours later I find myself at a diner. Parking my bike when I hear a shrill voice say, "I never interject and I want to all the time so bad." I look over and there is a car stopped at a light just a bit from where I'm locking up my bike, inside a girl screams at me, "HEY YOU!" and then adds, "Your hat is awesome. I just wanted to tell you that."

I tell her, "Thanks. I just traded a top hat for it. Pleased to know you like it."

The driver, her wing woman says, "We are girls who love a man who barters." The light turns green and they pull away.

TL;DR

Girl wanted my hat for her hat, I told her, give me your hat and your # and we have a deal. hb approachable.
