From my experience, I used to get annoyed when people mentioned they had a boyfriend. That's because I was trying to get something from the people I was gaming. Nowadays, I don't really care if someone has a boyfriend. If she's cute, odds are she has cute friends who are looking. Think bigger man. Make new friends. Meet more people. You even said that Summer was slow, so pick up the pace by firing up a new Summer social life. Plan some parties with your new friends, and tell them to invite their friends. Etc. Etc. Etc. Good thing you are writing this at the beginning of Summer and not the end.

Some girls ARE looking to get out of their current relationship, but if they continually mention their boyfriends, they're probably not looking to get out.

How do you find more information on how serious they are?

Generally you can find out when you go to kiss them.

Stop thinking about the BF, stop trying to figure out her relationship. Lead the interaction the way YOU want, then let her react to you.

If you want to hang out with her, do it. If you want to kiss her, do it.

It it up to her to reject you and protect her "relationship", not yours.

Girls tell you they have a boyfriend a lot more often than they actually have boyfriends. Just because they say he exists, doesn't mean you should take her word for it. Lots of women say they have a bf just to see if you are easily discouraged, or bold enough to keep going.

Every woman used to be some other guy's girlfriend at one time. Lots of women want to get out of a bad relationship, but they're afraid to move until they get the next guy lined up. Quality women are rarely out of a significant relationship, or else not single for long. The question is, who's going to get her? Might as well be you.

Use the BF Destroyers. They won't work unless there are already problems in her relationship with the BF. Never criticize the bf, it will make her defend him. So do the opposite, praise the bf. "Oh it must be wonderful finding a soulmate that you can spend the rest of your life with. I bet you have the deepest connection, and are always totally honest with each other. You can share all your deepest feelings." Play up to her unreasonably high expectations like that. "I bet you have the best boyfriend, he just can't wait to get off work every night and see you. I bet he takes you to exciting places and constantly showers you with gifts." And then she'll start complaining about how he doesn't do those things, like how he works all the time and he never has time for her. "No, I don't want to hear it. I'm sure he's a hard working guy, he spends all his time earning money so he can spend it on you. I bet he takes you on romantic weekend trips and long vacations together." Just cut off her protestations, and defend the guy from her criticism.

Understand something: I'm not advocating being a home wrecker, or that you try to pry a girl away from another guy. But the fact is there are a lot of women out there in unhappy relationships. (If you have female friends who call you when things aren't going well, you know what I'm talking about.) And the stability of their relationship is not your concern. It's hers. For better or for worse, there are a lot of people who won't leave one relationship, no matter how shitty, until they find another. So I salute your moral nobility if you want to wait for girls to be completely single before you make a move, but I promise you that you'll be waiting a long, long time. The best women are NEVER single. She'll stand by their man faithfully forever - until something better comes along and shows her what she's been missing. That something is you. You have no idea how stable the relationship is, or why she's still in it. Maybe she's just with him so she won't be alone. Maybe she's locked in "golden handcuffs" and needs his financial support. It doesn't matter. Her relationship status is HER concern. Unless you want to disqualify 85 to 90 percent of the women you meet, you have to learn to take it with a grain of salt.

Easy. Friendzone the taken ones and meet other girls through her :) You can still do harmless light flirting during friend zone or whatever you do with your friends. There's no reason to limit your natural actions because she's taken. This build character.

Yes all the cute ones are taken, and conversely the majority of the un-cute are roaming the street wondering all the cute guys are taken, except for uberafc but he's not into me.

But even the cute ones become available here and there, and when they do, they are wondering the same exact thing all the cute guys are taken, it's the ultimate conundrum in life.

This system works for me, or there are quite a few good info on the resource section in the sidebar.

When a girl says she had a boyfriend it doesn't phase me. I just keep going as if she never said it. If she likes me more than her current fling, who am I to deny her happiness? Husbands are a different matter, though.

I generally take a girl telling me she has a boyfriend as a sign of disinterest. Maybe she does, maybe she doesn't, why is she telling me if I haven't asked though? Even if she is trying to put up an "obstacle" for me to knock down, I'm not trying to knock obstacles down... Picking up a girl should be easy and if it's not I get disinterested really quickly. I'm not trying to try hard to get a girl. Either we click or we don't, I don't try and invent it. That being said, sometimes a girl might tell you she has a boyfriend and she is clearly interested. Sometimes they are just telling you to tell you. What you do in that situation is more up to you and what you feel the right thing to do is.
