So, I recently got a job at a shoe store that I had previously worked at but in a different state. One of the biggest differences between this location and my old one is that this location is almost ALL girl employees except two other guys who happen to be 2/3 managers there. So, during the couple times when I would come in all dressed up to introduce myself to the manager and apply and give him a resume and what not apparently I had attracted a sort of following from some of the girls there.

So, this most recent time I go to work there, a girl comes in for the closing shift about two hours before I'm fixed to clock out. Within the first 30 mins of her shift she finds an opening to start a conversation with me (I would have done this but I was pre occupied with some menial task) and she starts it by asking "So, you're so and so's cousin right?" This caught me off guard since I just moved to this state and have never been anywhere noticeable with said cousin for anyone to know me by that but I answer yes.

I guess she realized my confusion cause she quickly explains that my cousin had told this girl about me (my cousin is a very deviant 17 yr old girl) and that she knew her by being in the same dance company as her. I hadn't know this but I ask her more about her involvement in the dance company and then explain that I had seen their recital a couple weeks prior (in support of my cousin of course) and that I remember seeing her dance and commenting that she was quite good (I dont really remember her exactly in particular though but I figure this cant hurt as by now the "this girl is cute" gears in my head are spinning). She then is taken a back and smiles a bit and then we continue chatting for awhile in between working before my shift ends. A couple of times she would smile at me as we would pass each other in our attempts to help customers or shed make funny remarks about the store music playing.

Flash forward to later that night, I had just seen 21 Jump Street again with a good friend of mine and we got in the conversation about her dumb ass ex and she then brought up the subject of my new job and I recite the series of coincidences that I have told you. She laughs and says something about how I can't stay on the market for too long without causing some swooning and I laugh at this (I'm 19 btw and while I know I am attractive and I have been called a player by various people upset at me (usually women) I never really notice exactly how many girls watch me or find me attractive or anything so while I'm a pretty confident lady getter considering that i just put myself out there and it usually works, I haven't really noticed just how much attention I attract until glancing around this sub reddit) so anyway i laugh at her comment and then she says something along the lines of "seriously, you're too much for all these "innocent" girls to handle. You'll have to watch yourself more often" we laughed and then departed.

Now the killer thing is that, after all this, I get home, check FB briefly and find a fucking friend request from the girl from work. Before I accepted her request I took a look at her timeline and the most recent status talked about working at the shoe store so i was like "oh, ill read this since I can relate". Eventually my cousin who is her friend commented on said status and was like "Did you meet my cousin Calvin? He just got a job there" and this girl responds with "I heard about him but I havent met him yet since he left before I got there. I heard that he was kinda cute though" (this is obviously before we worked together yesterday)

So I start cracking up because this just shows me how much my friend wasn't lying and also that the girls from work where apparently telling each other about the "new cute guy". Plus the fact that it was another example of my cousin being so devious. So I accept her request.

Next day, I check FB after waking up at like 2 pm (didn't have work) and I see that this girl commented on a status that was not one posts down on my timeline, not two, but SEVEN down. Admittedly this post was about me getting hired at the shoe store so it was something she could relate to but I thought it was funny.

So the reason I share this my fellow Sedditors is for one, to acknowledge that I don't think i would have pieced all these observations together so well without reading other similar posts from all you guys and that two, I was just curious about what you guys would go about doing for the next couple of follow up steps needing to be taken here? Thanks for the patience to read and all the expertise shared on this subreddit!

tl;dr - Got new job, cute coworker shows several IOI's, my story about it and any future advice for follow up

** edit- So the biggest thing I've gathered is NOT TO SHIT WHERE I EAT haha. I usually follow this fairly well but I guess the excitement of being at a new environment made me forget my sense for a bit, thanks to all you guys for reminding me. I will just use this as a confidence booster and stay in a friendly relationship with this girl so that work never becomes awkward for me. Thanks Again! **
