I'm male, 17 and have only been 'gaming' for about a week. This was my second time out, after a pretty unsuccessful first time (all rejections). I could think of lots of reasons why I shouldn't go out again (i'm only 17, i'm asian, girls in the UK aren't like in America, I will look creepy if i approach) etc.

I convinced myself and went out with some other people from a local lair to the city centre. It took me a looong time to warm up/get over AA, the first girl I approached I only asked her "do you know where the nearest starbucks is" then ejected.

After a while and a few excuses, I went for this HB6. My opener is "Excuse me, I saw you walking back there, I thought you were really cute and had to say hi". Got rejected. No worries, I'm just warming up.

Approached another, opened, "sorry I have a boyfriend" but smiling. To these boyfriend responses, I respond "Great, he can make us sandwiches then!" to which they usually find funny. But said thanks for talking and ejected.

  1. Saw a cute girl, opened. She was receptive but really shy. Also at the start "Is this a joke? Am I being filmed on TV right now?" Lawl, I messed with her a bit. "Where you off to then?" "I'm on my way to the art shop" "Nice, I'll help you out". I think she had low self esteem. Talked to her more about music, she liked the chilis which I am hugely into, so garbled on about that. If I drew a blank, I would say "I'm meeting my (very late) friends here to go for lunch, any good suggestions?" I felt it was time to go (about 10 mins in set) and said "My friends are texting me so got to go but you seem like a really fun person, why don't you give me your number and we'll hang out sometime". She was all like "I don't really give out my number, how about facebook" "Nah, I don't use facebook (I do)" and got the number.

  2. One of the other guys saw a smoking hot 8-9, told me to go for it cause she looks younger. Said opener, she smiled, introduced myself, she works at zara and "i'm on my break, in a rush and got to get food" "cool, i'll help you out then! lets go on an express shop", she laughed and generally really friendly. Said where can friends go to eat thing, she loves sushi, said "maybe we'll go get some GoSushi later on then" to which she laughed. Her "You look really young" "How old do you think I am?" "17 (spot on)" "Why, how old are you?" "22" lol what the fuq, i'm hitting on a 22 year old. told her I was 19 heh. walked her back to the shop, talked about loads uni, music, whatever (it doesn't really matter). She was also from budapest, with a cool accent. Said number bit, she was like "no maybe if we meet accidentally again in the shop I will" and I just made jokes about her high standards (how have to accidentally meet her twice to get her number) and I persisted, but she was resistant so I said "I will see you later in zara then!". I reckon she was resistant because of the age gap/I looked younger. She said I was cute though. Fast forward about 2 hours, Went back into zara and saw her "Hey fancy meeting you here! This is fate isn't it!" Conversed a bit more, then "My friends are waiting outside, so give me your number and we'll go get some sushi", and she gave me her number and hugged. Wooop!

  3. Saw hb7, opened, she was reaaaaly receptive, I mean talking to me as if we had been friends for ages. Introduced, talked on all sorts, olympics (we saw the same football match), music (likes chilis again), etc etc. We were talking about chilis and she wanted to listen to them more, I decided to exit so said "why don't you give me your number and i'll text you some songs, maybe get some coffee (the fuq, i hate coffee) later on. She was already on it ("oh no you're one of those blackberry types!" we bantered like this quite a bit), exchanged numbers, hugged.

I tried to really forget the objective of talking to girls, but rather the aim was just to have fun, so sometimes I forgot about stuff like kino. When I got that first girls number, I was buzzing and had a great mentality in my head, felt really good about myself. Achievement since this is the first time I've ever gotten a number/been like this. I can't even remember a lot of the approaches/rejections, only the successes. There must have been 10 approaches today, can only remember 4. haha, now I need to learn how to text girls.
